Poetry

God writes me wonderful poetry in my dreams sometimes. It’s the glory of God to conceal a matter, and the glory of me to figure it out.

This morning I woke up in a fog, and drove to Atlanta with Irby. Though we haven’t seen much of eachother lately, we drove mostly quiet up 85 north.

I was processing so much of my life. My dream world has not been settled and pleasant lately, there are so many things to work out.

So in my dream last night, I was walking on the beach of Asburry Park (home of Springsteen). It was hazzy and foggy as I walked from my side job on the beach, and walked over to Ocean Grove.  As I walked on the sands, I knocked right into Gabby and all the sudden I found myself loving on my girls again, even though I thought I was working on this other side job in Asburry Park. Then I went into town and had a tearful reunion with Leslie Rosario.

I’m working through a lot of things right now, but enjoying listening to Devils and Dust  by none other than Springsteen as I process. It is my song right now…

Got God on my side
And I’m just trying to survive
What if what you do to survive
Kills the things you love
Fear’s a powerful thing, baby
It can turn your heart black you can trust
It’ll take your God filled soul
And fill it with devils and dust

Well I dreamed of you last night
In a field of blood and stone
The blood began to dry
The smell began to rise
Well I dreamed of you last night
In a field of mud and bone
Your blood began to dry
And the smell began to rise

Now every woman and every man
They wanna take a righteous stand
Find the love that God wills
And the faith that He commands

Enjoy some of the other tunes I’ve been enjoyin’

  1. I have been watching Springsteins, “We take care of our own,” for weeks at the OMNI now, at one point he holds his hand up to the camera and it looks like he is praying through the TV. He knows.

Tell me what you honestly think!
